The EcoFlow Smart Home Panel allows you to integrate battery power with your home circuits, powering your wall outlets, lighting, and other fixtures. Now, you can have smart app controls for your energy consumption, emergency backup for pre-determined circuits, and so much more. In this article, we’ll give you a rundown of the top features and how they can help you.
The Smart Home Panel form factor
Coming in at 460x330x120mm, the Smart Home Panel is a little larger than an A3 sheet of paper, not accounting for depth. Weighing 20 lb, it can be mounted by your circuit breaker box — perhaps in your garage — without intruding on the aesthetics of your setup.
The two distinctive Infinity Ports at the base of the unit are mirrored on the front, allowing you to plug in up to two EcoFlow DELTA Pro units at a time. The choice of front-facing or down-facing ports gives allows you to keep your cables flush, regardless of how you’re set up.
Open up the door on the front and you’ll find the 10 indicators representing the status of 10 home circuits. Each has a button to reset that circuit if a breaker has tripped.
How it all fits together
Sitting between your circuit breaker box and your home circuits, it acts in a similar manner to a smart electrical panel, drawing power from either the grid or your DELTA Pro units. It then distributes that energy to up to 10 home circuits of your choice. Here’s a visual representation to help illustrate that:
The above illustration is a straightforward setup. However, owning a DELTA Pro and Smart Home Panel is just the start. Discover the full ecosystem available to you here.
How much energy can I store and use?
The Smart Home Panel supports up to 25kWh of stored energy. That’s via 2 DELTA Pros, 4 Extra Batteries, and 2 Smart Generators (21.6kWh without the generator if you’re going 100% green). Of course, you can pick and choose what you need, starting with a single 3.6kWh DELTA Pro, adding Extra Batteries and Smart Generators as you see fit.
To translate that into something meaningful, the average US household uses roughly 29kWh per day, so a full setup gives you just shy of enough to live comfortably without the grid for a full day. During an emergency or blackout, a safe assumption is to scale down to 3-4kWh per day (this allows for essential electronics, your router, and freezers/refrigerators). Under that assumption, you’ll have enough for a full week of power independence before needing a recharge from solar or the grid.
What can it power?
If you hook up two DELTA Pros, you’ll have 7200W, 240V split-phase output for up to 10 home circuits of your choice from your main breaker box. To put that in plain English, it’s enough to power even your largest appliances in your home, with a large clothes dryer needing around 2000-3000W. If you opt for a single DELTA Pro, you’d have 3600W for those 10 circuits.
How it helps during blackouts
So you’ve got your ecosystem set up and you’re feeling prepared. Here’s how the Smart Home Panel can take your prep to the next level.
As the blackout hits
When a blackout hits, the Smart Home Panel automatically reroutes its energy source to your DELTA Pro(s) within 20 milliseconds. Fast enough that you barely notice a blackout occurred.
During the blackout
During the blackout, you can pull out your phone and check the EcoFlow app. With it, you’ll be able to see how long your current battery capacity can power your chosen home circuits. Then, you customize which circuits you value most. A good pick here might be your kitchen so that your food stays fresh in your fridge. Once prioritized, the Smart Home Panel can intelligently turn off circuits as you run low on stored energy, leaving your most important ones running for the longest.
After the blackout / extended blackouts
If the blackout is over, the Smart Home Panel can fast charge your DELTA Pro with a 3400W input from the grid. This speed could be essential for situations where rolling blackouts are planned, as we saw in the Texas 2021 power crisis.
If the situation is serious and you’re facing extended blackouts, you can charge up your using the EcoFlow Smart Generator or portable solar panels. With a full EcoFlow setup, it’s safe to say you’ll have power independence in almost any situation.

How you can save money during regular use.
With a regular smart circuit breaker – or if you’re just using a standard circuit breaker box – you could be subject to higher electricity bills at certain times of the day. This is common in areas that have a time-of-use billing rate. The Smart Home Panel can help reduce your costs in these situations.
Using the EcoFlow app, you can set your batteries to power your home during peak hours. This saves money when compared to using grid power during the most expensive time of the day. During off-peak hours, you use renewable energy with your solar panels – or EcoFlow portable solar panels – to charge your DELTA Pros back to full. Alternatively, you can use the grid to charge back to full at a rapid 3400W rate.
How to set up solar panels with your Smart Home Panel
There are a few ways you can set up solar panels with your Smart Home Panel. The first, most simple way is to use an EcoFlow portable solar panel. With that, you can charge your batteries via the XT60 port on your DELTA Pro, which feeds energy to your Smart Home Panels circuits. It’s now possible to have renewable energy powering your home appliances.
Where to get your own Smart Home Panel
Having a smart electric panel gives a whole lot more customization and utility than using a solar generator alone, keeping you powered and comfortable during power outages. You can learn more about the EcoFlow Smart Home Panel, and request a quote at your zip code here.
